Drive To Survive

LAUNCHED THEIR CROSS COUNTRY CARAVAN OF HYDROGEN AND HYBRID POWERED VEHICLES
FROM THE
SANTA MONICA PIER
TO PRESENT PETITIONS
TO CONGRESS.

Actor/ecolonomist, Dennis Weaver led a caravan of hydrogen and hybrid vehicles from the Santa Monica Pier in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday April 30th en route to Washington D.C. to present to Congress on May 14th, thousands of signatures petitioning for laws leading to the elimination of gasoline as a fuel, and substitution of hydrogen.

A hundred reporters, video and TV outlets were on hand as well as dignitaries, government officials, including Governor Davis office, LA City Deputy Mayor of Transportation, Mayor of Santa Monica, Actors and Actresses, Larry Hagman, and Linda Gray.

Dennis Weaver, famed for leading roles in "Gunsmoke" and "McCloud" spoke of the need to get on to hydrogen as a fuel source as soon as possible to

1. Eliminate toxic pollution.

2. Boost a stagnant economy with new products and jobs.

3. Boost national security by not being dependent on foreign oil. (The U.S. spends $200,000 a minute on foreign oil)

4. Promotion of peace not war. Like the recent war to control oil supplies in Iraq.

Dennis and his wife Gerry co-founded the Institute of Ecolonomics "to save the planet from pollution." The "Drive to Survive is their most newsworthy and timely project ever and they will partake in dozens of rallies and press conferences en route to the nations capital.
