You know him from such box-office blockbusters as "Titanic" and "Romeo and Juliet." Leonardo DiCaprio's latest project is even bigger - getting the world to do something about global warming! Earth Day Network and Leonardo DiCaprio announced Wednesday that the world-famous actor will host Earth Day festivities on the Mall in Washington, D.C., on April 22, 2000.

"As far back as I can remember, environmental issues have always been of the utmost importance to me," said DiCaprio, during a webcast announcement. "I'm honored to be a part of Earth Day 2000. It's a great way for all of us to focus the most important environmental issue for the new millennium - global warming."
